Kindergarten has been learning about the tradespeople of Colonial America. After learning about tailors and dressmakers, Mrs. Woods’ class took a trip to the Fab Lab in order to try their hand at the trades! Each student got to work on hand sewing a burlap bag, using a sewing machine to sew a little shirt with help from Dr. Goad and Dusty O'Bryan, and using a 3D pen with Mrs. Anderson to draw a piece of clothing. They also experienced a 3D printer printing a shirt, pants, and a pair of shoes! Mrs. Dusty O’Bryan brought colonial-styled clothing and a buffalo skin rug for them to check out. Mrs. Kula also joined in the fun while helping at all the stations. It was a fun day, and most decided they prefer living in the present time vs the colonial times!
